# Service Team

Our service team collectively works to plan and administer service opportunties within the troop.

1. **Troop-initiated service projects**: These will be generally youth-led, with the Service Team providing support, mentoring, and advise to the Trailman and Trail Guides.
2. **Troop-engaged service projects**: These are opportunites not planned by the troop, but arranged and promoted within the troop for participation. The Service Team has a leading role in identifying these projects.
3. **Individual Service**: Much service will be completed individually by Trailmen. The service team is a resource to these members.

### Qualifications

- Christian age 18 or older
- [Registered Adult](https://traillife613.org/opportunities/registered-adult) (or eligible to be registered)
- Agree to the Shepherd's Church [Volunteer Covenant](https://traillife613.org/opportunities/volunteer-covenant) and qualified for service

### Core Duties

- Participate in meetings of the service team
- Work to identify opportunites for service by the troop or by trailmen
- As able, take ownership of tasks under the coordination of the Service Chair

### Timing of Duties

- Service team members do not have responsibilities at the weekly meetings.
- Most efforts by the service team members will be in making arrangements and planning regarding service opportunities outside of meetings.
- Service team members are encouraged, but not required, to attend service events organized or engaged by the troop.
