Purpose : The ‘National Symbols’ step provides a basic knowledge of the various symbols and imagery associated with the United States.

Upon completion of this step Trailmen should be exposed to the importance, meaning, and history of these symbols and where they appear in our  everyday lives.

  2. Where are symbols found on US currency?
  3. Who are on the one & five dollar bills?
  4. Who are on the penny and quarter?
  5. In God We Trust mean and why is it on our money?
  6. What does our national animal/bird symbolize?
  7. What are the different parts of the National Seal
