8/19 Fall Open House and Info Night
Join us on Monday, August 19, 2024 as we begin our ministry year. We will meet in the Lodge of in the Children's Center at 6:30 PM for information and activities about Troop NC-613 and Shepherd's Girls.
Path to Able Trailman
A dad asked me recently what his sons should prioritize to advance to the Able Trailman Rank. Much of that conversation is relevant to many troop families, so I am going to focus briefly on that topic today.
8/28 Fall Kickoff: Family Fun Night
Join us on Monday, August 28, 2023 as we kickoff our ministry year. We will meet in the Courtyard of The Shepherd's Church at 6:30 PM for hot dogs, games, and information about Troop NC-613 and Shepherd's Girls.
Joining Troop NC-613 for 2023-24
The Troop is wrapping our 2022-23 ministry program year with our end of year awards and some final activities. At the same time, we are gearing up for the next year. Our Woodlands Trailmen (K-5 elementary) take a break for the summer, while our older members continue through the summer.
Hit-the-Trail for Sports and Fitness
We are on the cusp of spring, and it's a great time to be outdoors for a Woodlands Hit-the-trail event. For our Sport and Fitness HTT, we visited Bond Park on a sunny Saturday afternoon to rotate through three themed stations.
What is the Worthy Life?
Of the various programs, opportunities, and recognitions offered within our troop, the Worthy Life program and the Worthy Life Award is one of the least understood. This is unfortunate, as participation in this program can be uniquely valuable.
