Woodlands Worthy Life
The Worthy Life Award is an official award of Trail Life USA, which is designed to encourage and recognize involvement in a number of faith-focused activities. This award is available to all age levels--this page focuses on the awards for K-5 Woodlands Trail members.
The Award is designed to encourage growth through activities in four areas:
- Devotional
- Discipleship
- Disciplines
- Demonstration
Devotional
We provide a weekly devotional in our patrol meetings. These devotionals on are being indexed on this site. Our devotionals are tied in with the topics in the Woodlands Trail curriculum. These devotionals are 15 minutes of our 75 minute meetings.
Discipleship
These activities vary by level. Trailmen and their families select from a list of activities to complete:

Disciplines Activities
Our Disciplines Activities encourage the trailmen to develop important habits, and involve working with parents in the following areas:
Scripture Memory
Memorize and recite three scripture verses introduced in the devotional time
Prayer
- Fox: Lead a prayer with a family meal and at a Trail Life event
- Hawk/Mountain Lion: Maintain a prayer list; for Mountain Lion, also track answer to prayers and invite another person to pray with you
Church
Attend church (or sunday school) for a. three months (Mountain Lion) b. two months (Hawk) c. a special service (e.g. Christmas or Easter) (Fox)
Demonstration
- Recite the memory passages to Trail Guide
- Participate in a final conference with leader
