Onboarding Facilitator
Troop NC-613 is constantly adding new members. Onboarding Facilitators led these new families through an orderly onboarding process, helping them become engaged and familiar with traditions, practices, and policies. Typically, boys joining at older levels benefit from additional onboarding and a facilitated introduction to the program and its members.
Qualifications
- Christian age 21 or older
- Registered Adult (or eligible to be registered)
- Agree to the Shepherd's Church Volunteer Covenant and qualified for service
Core Duties
- Leads new families through the troop onboarding process.
- Assists with orientation events that may be scheduled from time-to-time.
- Support efforts of membership team.
- Contribute to the development of onboarding materials.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain awareness of troop activities to facilitate interaction with prospective members.
- Complete Peak 1 and Peak 2 trainings during first year of service.
Timing of Duties

Most onboarding tasks are completed by arrangement between the facilitator and the new family. This may occur during meetings or at other mutally agreeable times.

Onboarding Facilitators should expect to spend some time outside of meetings completing their responsibilities.

Attendance at campouts and activities is not required, but may inform a practical understanding of the ministry's operations.
